We are happy to welcome Debbie Bencik Briggs to the McCauley Lyman team as an Attorney. Debbie brings nearly 25 years of transactional experience, including extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions. Her focus will be on financing transactions, joint ventures, asset purchases and sales, as well as project development, real estate and title matters for renewable energy projects and other general/corporate and business matters. Before coming to McCauley Lyman, Debbie worked in several in-house legal roles, serving as M&A counsel to a Fortune 500 manufacturer, providing commercial representation, and providing representation on corporate governance, compliance, reorganization, and transactional activities. She worked for 8 years in-house at Motorola as the Senior Global Transactions Counsel, managing the major business process outsourcings, and serving as lead lawyer in mergers, joint ventures, and asset sales and purchases. Prior to that, Debbie was in private practice at Mayer Brown LLP and other firms, working as a corporate and securities attorney.
Personally, Debbie has been actively involved in fundraising, advocacy and support for Type 1 Diabetes for over 15 years, working to raise awareness through her local JDRF chapter. We're getting excited for the inaugural Solar Farm Summit in Chicago in a few weeks! Maria Bries will be speaking about Ground Mount Solar Basics on March 14.

Michael is a first-generation American, holds both British and United States citizenship, and is fiercely proud of his family history. He loves music, which runs through several generations in his family; Michael's grandmother was a concert violinist and his son is a drummer for several Madison-area bands. He himself has six musical instruments which he doesn't play nearly enough, and he regularly sings karaoke. We are pleased to welcome Maria Bries to McCauley Lyman as an Associate Attorney.
