We are pleased to welcome Maria Bries to McCauley Lyman as an Associate Attorney. Maria brings nine years of experience as an attorney in the Global Projects group at Mayer Brown LLP in New York and Chicago. While at Mayer Brown, she represented developers, investors, and lenders in various infrastructure transactions pertaining to project development and finance in the energy sector ranging from renewable to conventional power.
An active member in her community, Maria provides pro bono services in the areas of landlord/tenant law and estate planning to clients of Prairie State Legal Services, a legal aid organization providing free legal services to low income individuals in northern Illinois ensuring equal access to justice and fair treatment under the law. Maria also serves on the board of directors of the non-profit organization, Mindfulness in Law Society, as Treasurer, Co-Chair of the Illinois Chapter, and a member of the Executive Committee. Maria is a mentor and certified mindfulness and yoga teacher dedicated to enhancing the well-being of law students, lawyers, and legal professionals.
