We are please to welcome Jon Cole, Of Counsel, to McCauley Lyman!
Jonathan (goes by Jon) has focused his practice and professional activities in the renewable energy sector. He has worked on all aspects of project development and renewable energy finance, both as an outside counsel and for an independent power producer. He has been involved in over $7 billion in financing transactions and worked on over 1 gigawatt of constructed U.S. clean energy projects. Jon holds an A.B. in Mathematics from Vassar College and a J.D. from the New York University School of Law. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 2001. Read more here. At the end of September our partner Mike Blasik left the firm to take an in-house counsel position at Mitsubishi's Diamond Generating subsidiary, where he expects to be focusing his efforts on supporting Diamond's newly-acquired Boston Energy Trading and Marketing (BETM) unit. Prior to joining McCauley Lyman in 2012, Mike had been in-house counsel at BETM for many years. In Mike's words: "This is a great opportunity to help a company I'm very familiar with grow their business under new ownership. It's been a tremendous six years working with my colleagues at ML and our renewable energy clients. The firm is well-positioned and qualified to continue to serve this thriving industry, and I wish them the best."

McCauley Lyman is proud to have represented BQ Energy, developer of the Annapolis Renewable Energy Park, which broke ground on November 2, 2017. See them break ground below. Today we are announcing our affiliation with Barclay Damon, LLP. This strategic alliance will provide McCauley Lyman clients access to Barclay Damon’s 33 practice areas and enhance Barclay Damon’s already substantial Renewable Energy Practice Area. The new affiliation will make it possible to provide comprehensive legal services to our clients on an “in-house” basis, such as tax, securities, intellectual property, and regulatory and environmental services, to name just a few which we formerly referred to other lawyers.
Each firm will retain its separate identity, but McCauley Lyman partners are joining Barclay Damon as “of counsel” lawyers. We at McCauley Lyman are very pleased to be joining our new colleagues who we have found share our values, style, and firm culture. It is a particularly good fit for us because it makes available to our clients a broad array of high-quality legal services at billing rates comparable to our own. Of course, you will remain completely free to receive legal services from McCauley Lyman and any other lawyers whom you choose to employ on any matter. But our affiliation with Barclay Damon will greatly expand your options, both in breadth and depth of services. Barclay Damon is a National Law Journal “Top 250 Firm” with offices in the major cities of New York and in Boston, Washington, and Toronto. McCauley Lyman will continue in its current offices. |
